Summer and Fall 2010 in Mexico

Every year families and singles decide to go south of the border to spend a few days and escape the heat and high gasoline prices in one of Mexico's beautiful Pacific coast beaches. A quick flight to Cancun, Vallarta, Cabo or Acapulco, a beer or fruit drink in your hand and it feels like you're a million miles away. Other popular destinations include Mazatlan, Huatulco or Ixtapa but Rocky Point or Puerto Peñasco in the Sonora coast has become a favorite. Only 66 miles south of the Arizona border, Rocky Point is a perfect weekend getaway destination!

Festival Internacional Cervantino

Every year in the month of October the FIC is held in honor of the illustrious author Miguel de Cervantes, with a variety of international cultural and artistic events. There are exhibitions, plays, concerts, cinema and other events, turning the city into a cultural center. The FIC has been held without interruption since 1972, the year it was created and has as its venue the city of Guanajuato, capital of the state of the same name, birthplace of Mexico’s independence. Driving to Mexico

Every summer thousands of people visit Mexico in their automobiles and motor homes. Many travel for a few days to relax in the warm water beaches and escape from the cold winter or just to enjoy the sights and flavors south of the border while others travel hundreds of miles to visit family and friends for the Holidays! It is a wonderful time in Mexico during this time of the year with its Posadas and other Holiday traditions.

If you are traveling to Mexico for the first time of if you haven't visited in a while, just keep in mind Mexico and its people are very friendly but their customs and laws are different than in the United States or Canada. Be mindful and respectful at all times and you will surely have a wonderful time!
