Summer and Fall 2010 in Mexico
Every
year families and singles decide to
go south of the border to spend a
few days and escape the heat and
high gasoline prices in one of
Mexico's beautiful Pacific coast
beaches. A quick flight to Cancun,
Vallarta, Cabo or Acapulco, a beer
or fruit drink in your hand and it
feels like you're a million miles
away. Other popular destinations
include Mazatlan, Huatulco or Ixtapa
but Rocky Point or Puerto Peñasco in
the Sonora coast has become a
favorite. Only 66 miles south of the
Arizona border, Rocky Point is a
perfect weekend getaway destination!
Festival
Internacional Cervantino
Every year in the month of October
the FIC is held in honor of the
illustrious author Miguel de
Cervantes, with a variety of
international cultural and artistic
events. There are exhibitions,
plays, concerts, cinema and other
events, turning the city into a
cultural center. The FIC has been
held without interruption since
1972, the year it was created and
has as its venue the city of
Guanajuato, capital of the state of
the same name, birthplace of
Mexico’s independence.
